Gail Preston teaches pilates in a relaxed, small group setting at Beckenham Methodist Church. Everyone is welcome to come along, either at 7pm (beginner’s) or 8pm (intermediate) on a Monday evening. Pilates is a type of physical workout designed to benefit the whole body. It focuses on developing core strength and mobility through a series of functional exercises, resistance work and stretches. With effective teaching, it can bring about dramatic improvements to people of any age or ability, even for those managing difficult conditions. Gail is a trained physiotherapist so she is able to work with a variety of issues, ensuring everybody benefits appropriately form pilates.

Pilates has been around for decades and began as a gentle exercise program for hospital patients before being embraced by the dance world.
